Erna Rosenstein

Erna Rosenstein (born in 1913 in Lviv, died in 2004 in Warsaw). She studied painting, first at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna (1932-33), and then in Kraków (1933-36).

She was a founding member of the artistic association Grupa Krakowska

and participated in all of the group's major exhibitions. She also took part in numerous other significant events of contemporary artistic avant-garde. She frequently represented Polish art at major international exhibitions. She was the recipient of many awards and distinctions, including the C. K. Norwid Award for Criticism in 1976

and the Cybis Award in 1996. She published poetry collections: Ślad (Czytelnik, 1972), Spoza granic mowy (Czytelnik, 1976), Wszystkie ścieżki (Wydawnictwo Literackie, 1979), Czas (PIW, 1986), Z archiwum (Public Library, Legionowo, 1993), Jeszcze z archiwum (Sculpture Gallery, 1994).
